This was another rehab project.  The original was a solid state amp that looks really nice but was defective. James wanted something with a good overdriven sound, small, easy to record; but still able to be used for gigs.
The circuit is a pair of ECL82 in push pull with a long tail PI. A lot of the particular sound of this amp comes from the "Bassman" cathode follower driving a simple tonestack.
