Blue Beetle Amplifier

Built for Robin Hughes

This is the first of two elements created from an old Hohner Orgaphon.   The original output section was used to create a simple to use, clear sounding amp.  As well, I retained the EF86 input, ECC83 phase inverter and the PL84 output tube lineup.   There is one volume control, a compression/gain control, and a 4 position switch to adjust the bass rolloff.   The small switch to the right of this turns on/off the negative feedback.

Robin slaved away on the cabinet himself and I think the hard work really shows the understated elegance of the whole package-- absolutely one of a kind!
